This Committee of the Whole meeting is narrowly focused on one item: the 2025 Bylaw Enforcement Report and what changes Council and staff should make for 2026.

The report recommends expanding and better defining the Village barbecue zones, because the current setup is not working in practice. Enforcement is difficult, visitors often do not comply, and ticketing creates a negative visitor experience. Staff also recommend better signage and communications so people know where BBQs are allowed.

Other recommendations include improving the entrance to Rendall Park, considering a designated off leash dog swim area near the boat launch, adding EV chargers when possible, and starting waste collection enforcement earlier in spring to reduce human wildlife conflicts.
