Help Shape Harrison Village Facts' 2026 Election Coverage

One of the goals of Harrison Village Facts has always been to help residents make informed decisions by providing factual information, source documents, and balanced coverage of issues affecting our community.

As we approach the October local government election, we'd like to expand that commitment.

We are asking Harrison residents to help us develop a community-driven list of questions for everyone running for Mayor and Council.

Rather than Harrison Village Facts deciding what to ask, we want the questions to come from the people who live here.

What we're asking

If you could ask every candidate one question, what would it be?

Your question might relate to:

• Transparency and public communication

• Housing and development

• Seniors' housing

• Financial management and taxes

• Recreation and community facilities

• Wildfire preparedness and emergency planning

• Infrastructure and roads

• Healthcare

• Parks and the environment

• Economic development

• Governance and accountability

• Or any other issue you believe is important to Harrison Hot Springs.

How the process will work

• Please submit one question per comment.

• We will group similar questions together.

• We'll identify the topics that matter most to residents.

• We'll prepare a final questionnaire based on those community priorities.

• Every declared candidate for Mayor and Council will receive the same questions and the same opportunity to respond.

• Their responses will be published on Harrison Village Facts so residents can compare each candidate's views in one place.

Our goal is not to tell people who to vote for.

Our goal is to help voters make informed decisions by ensuring every candidate has an equal opportunity to explain their positions on the issues that matter most to our community.
